It's very amusing when you finish Redcliffe - oh the Arl needs the Ashes - 'well, I just happen to have some here!'. This kicks off a new quest for Haven, without you having visited Redcliffe first. If you go to Denerim and visit Brother Genitivi's house in the Market district( you may not have this as a quest, it's simple exploration), you can talk to his apprentice. How can you do the sacred ashes quest before redcliffe?
